On 25 November 2021, VAN HAM Kunstauktionen in Cologne hosted the first hybrid conference "Art and NFT - New Artistic Medium and Investment Object for Collectors. Opportunities and Risks" took place in cooperation with the law firm Wilde Beuger Solmecke. Six presentations intensively explored the topic of Non-Fungible Tokens and looked at it from different perspectives and can now be seen on YouTube!
The hybrid NFT conference forms an exciting and meaningful addition for all who want to enter the world of digital securitized collectibles. The interdisciplinary panel will look at NFTs from the technical side (Stephan Noller and Prof. Wolfgang Prinz, Fraunhofer Institute), from the perspective of the art world (Rita Kersting, Museum Ludwig and Markus Eisenbeis), as well as in terms of legal and insurance issues (Prof. Dr. Jürgen Wilhelm and Madeleine Schulz).
"What is an NFT and why does it have significance for art?"
Prof. Wolfgang Prinz, PhD, Deputy Director Fraunhofer FIT
"They're bathing their hands in it right now. Why NFTs won't just revolutionize the art world."
Stephan Noller, Managing Director Ubirch GmbH
"NFTs - How does the museum deal with the new technology?"
Rita Kersting, Deputy Director Museum Ludwig
