Elegant shape with three small handles with heads of mythical animals on the shoulder and on the body. On the shoulder also a number of flat discs with spiral pattern. Height 28.4cm. Underneath: Zisun baoyong (May the sons and grandsons use this valuable vessel). Holzsockel auf vier Beinen. Zustand A/B. IMPRESSIVE HU-VASE. China. Song dynasty. 13th c. Bronze with dark, partly textured patina, with recessed decorative bands in shallow relief. Of rounded rectangular shape. The two handles in the form of dragon heads, from whose mouth each rises a fenghuang bird. The neck with two bands adorned with archaic dragon motifs, at the foot another one with waves. Height 48.3cm. Wooden base on four legs.
