In autumn, VAN HAM Art Estate presented the exhibition “Ideas of Informel - Brigitte and Martin Matschinsky-Denninghoff”, curated by Director Dr. Renate Goldmann. The approximately 120 abstract metal sculptures and drawings from various creative phases of the Berlin artist duo formed the framework for the presentation of the ART Curator Award at VAN HAM during the DC Open. The vernissage with an introduction by Dr. Thomas Köhler, Director of the Berlinische Galerie, was one of the highlights of the gallery weekend. The Matschinsky Denninghoff Foundation was founded in January 2021 by the State of Berlin under the umbrella of the Berlinische Galerie. Since 2022, the Matschinsky-Denninghoff Foundation of the Berlinische Galerie and VAN HAM Art Estate have been cooperating to market parts of this extraordinary and influential oeuvre.
