Gavin Evans and VAN HAM will auction a series of hybrid NFTs by Evans called "Godpixels" featuring rock and pop icons and Hollywood stars in the first German NFT auction on 1 December 2021. Evans has been experimenting with translating his works into the virtual world for some time and has set up his own team to securitize his works. With his project "Subject to Change - Hyperreality and the Godpixel" Evans has found a way to use morphing techniques to transfer his iconic portraits into virtual artworks. For each work, he first took two of his photographs: portraits of the same subject. These portraits differed in time or expression or both. As a result, 99 images are created that bridge the original source images. Image #50 is selected from this sequence. This image is the exact moment when the two original images meet. This is the Godpixel - the moment of creation that is indistinguishable from reality - an image of pure hyperreality.

For the first NFT auction at VAN HAM, Gavin Evans will offer five unique "Godpixel" 8K NFTs with accompanying signed limited edition NFT Godpixel prints. These prints bridge the gap between the virtual and real worlds, making the work a hybrid NFT.
