Due to the new construction of the Nebelhornbahn in Oberstdorf/Allgäu, the Oberstdorf - Kleinwalsertal Bergbahnen have given two of the old cabins, known to many vacationers, free of charge to the relief organizations of the Lions Club Oberallgäu and the Rotary Club Oberstdorf-Kleinwalsertal, so that they can auction them off for a good cause. Both clubs are now offering these two cabins in a charity auction in order to use the proceeds regionally, in particular to support children, young people and young families who have got into difficulties as a result of the Corona pandemic. It is a unique opportunity to acquire a piece of alpine history.
The auction will be broadcast live on the Internet from the Nebelhorn mountain station at over 2,000 meters. Bidders must register in advance and can submit a written bid or bid live online. Even those who only want to watch the auction but do not want to bid can participate without registering. All information about registration can be found here. The cabins can be viewed in the run-up to the auction nearby the valley station on request.
